Colorado Springs Family Practice’s Weight Loss Program is unique in that we offer a comprehensive approach to your weight loss goals. Virtually all weight loss programs that focus on the use of popular weight loss medication, such as Semagltude (which is the exact same drug used in name brand products such as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Rybelsus), only include an initial consultation with a Practitioner and then weekly injections of the medication. We firmly believe that your success and overall well being is best met by a care plan that includes:
- Monthly visits with your Practitioner
- Weekly Semaglutide Injections
Colorado Springs Family Practice is also pleased to offer additional options to support your weight loss goals. For those patients that may not need the full benefits of a Semaglutide regimen, or would simply prefer alternatives, we offer a LIPO-MINO-C regimen. The LIPO-MINO-C Mix starts with a special Lipotropics fat burning combination of L-Carnitine, methionine, inositol, choline, and B-12. Each of these ingredients helps the body turn fat into energy and are also powerful antioxidants. In addition to the Lipotropics blend, LIPO-MINO-C also contains a mixture of B vitamins which further help to facilitate fat loss and increase energy. - Patients with insurance and enrolled in a Semaglutide regimen - $175.00 per month.
- Patients without insurance and enrolled in a Semaglutide regimen - $315.00 per month
- Patients with insurance and enrolled in a LIPO-MINO-C regimen - $12.00 and $24.00 per week (price difference depends on the recommended injection dose prescribed by your Practitioner)
- Patients without insurance and enrolled in a LIPO-MINO-C regimen - $125.00, or $135.00 per month (price difference depends on the recommended injection dose prescribed by your Practitioner)
Semaglutide is a medicine similar to a naturally produced hormone called glucagon-like peptide – 1 (GLP-1). GLP-1 is produced in the body after eating a meal. Our Practitioners
This will vary from person to person, but generally it takes a few weeks to start seeing the effects of weight loss from Semaglutide. This is attributable to the titration, or dose increase of the Semaglutide injections. Patients will start with a dose of 0.25 mg per week and increase the dose every four weeks, maxing out at 2.4 mg per injections. The dosage is gradually raised every four weeks to lessen the likelihood of side effects. Once the dose that sufficiently suppresses appetite to cause a calorie deficit is achieved, weight loss happens quickly.
Our Practitioners will help you determine if you are a good candidate for Semaglutide.
Additionally, some people may experience side effects, including:

- Decreased appetite
- Diarrhea
Colorado Springs Family Practice offers a Semaglutide Support Bundle that helps limit the side effects associated with the use of Semaglutide. The Semaglutide Support Bundle includes capsules/tablets that help with nausea relief, reduce bloating and a daily cleanse that helps with constipation and diarrhea.
You should expect to regain some of the weight lost one year after cessation. Obesity is a chronic disease, you must treat it chronically, ongoing in a coordinated comprehensive way. You will work with your Practitioner and Nutritionist for a holistic approach to metabolic health, weight management, and primary care.
To help with your weight. loss journey after the completion of the Semaglutide regimen, Colorado Springs Family Practice offers both, a Weight Loss Essentials Kit and weekly LIPO-MINO-C injections.
